Peta is a Human Transformation Architect and Defence Innovation Leader, with nearly 30 years of experience in Business, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Communications. As General Manager at Beaten Zone Venture Partners, she supports founders in Defence innovation, transforming potential into success. A dedicated mentor, she has guided thousands of entrepreneurs through business transitions, helping them scale and navigate change. Passionate about resilience and growth, she continues to shape the future of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Together, Prue and Peta share a remarkable love story—one built on mutual admiration, deep connection, and an unbreakable bond.
A Love Story Rooted in Destiny
Where and when did you first meet? Did you have any first impressions of one another?
“We met while I was doing a stint with QUT as a visiting entrepreneur in Residence. I attended one of the site visits to a business called Vald—I actually had no idea why or what we were doing there until about 20 minutes into the event. I noticed an incredibly striking blonde bombshell walking around, looking very serious, and I was completely mesmerized. Not long after, Peta introduced herself and said, ‘So you’re Prue,’ to which I said yes, as I felt an ear-to-ear smile and a sense of immediate connection and magnetism fill my body. I think I spent the rest of the event following Peta’s every move and smiling. I made her give me a lift back to the uni and called her Pete, which I think was the beginning of the end!!!”
Love, Strength, and Inspiration
What do you love most about your partner, and how do they inspire you?
“It’s hard to pinpoint just one thing—Pete is my endless inspiration. She is fierce and determined, more consistent than anyone I know. She is honest, sometimes blunt, but has more compassion and heart than anyone. She has an uncanny knack for seeing and reading people (and me) with the utmost intuition and precision. Her integrity and commitment, once you’re in, are second to none. Pete inspires me every day to be the best version of myself. She sees the beauty in the simple things in life—she grounds me. I now know what love is, and it’s the best, most beautiful thing in the world, just like Pete.”
Pearls and Precious Moments
Can you share a memorable moment from your relationship that involved a piece of Jaune Pearls jewelry?
“For my 50th birthday, we took all the kids (there are five of them between us, ranging in ages from 7 to 17!) to Mt French Lodge. We had the entire venue to ourselves, and it was also Mother’s Day! Sitting at the breakfast table with our tribe, Pete handed me an elegantly wrapped gift. Inside was The Noble Love & Loyalty Ring, the Single Pearl Ring, and the Nobles Bracelet—each piece deeply symbolic and full of meaning. That was nearly two years ago, and our love has only continued to grow and deepen.
This past Christmas, we celebrated our love with the addition of the Eternity Promise Rings. Our life is centered around the sea and the ocean, so Jaune Pearls perfectly captures the essence of us.”
A Love as Timeless as Pearls
Pearls symbolize enduring beauty and strength. How do these qualities mirror the story/journey you’ve shared together?
“Wow, they couldn’t mirror our journey more! The love we share is so incredibly beautiful and visible to all—it just continues to grow and evolve. We have a tribe of five kids, two dogs, small businesses, and multiple homes spanning from Brisbane to the Southern Gold Coast. Every day is a surprise!
There have been many trials and tribulations along the way, and I have no doubt life will continue to weave its magic as we journey together. There is an unconditional love and strength that only continues to grow with each fork in the road. I know we will only continue to strengthen together as we hold each other’s hands through this wild and amazing journey that is life. Hold on tight—it’s going to be a wild and beautiful ride!”*
A Valentine’s Day to Remember
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to doing together this Valentine’s Day?
“Spending time together and connecting with one another. For us, that’s more important than anything. Having said that, I do like to come up with new wild and crazy adventures and surprises. I love creating experiences that we can share together. I think Pete is more at ease with my spontaneous adventures now—well, maybe just a little more!”

“Hard to pick just one. Each piece we have holds its own special meaning and symbolic representation in the story of us. I love them all equally and look forward to adding more pieces to our story. x”
